While Maria Regina's win against Yonkers wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 victory over the Bulldogs on Sunday. The win was nothing new for the Tigers as they're now sitting on ten straight.

Their offense was headlined by Olivia Torres and Ava Pilone, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Emma Yonkers-Talz and her five assists.

Maria Regina's victory bumped their record up to 17-3-1. As for Yonkers, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Maria Regina didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Montfort Academy on the 14th. Yonkers has also already played their next contest (against Harrison), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
