Basketball Recap: Spring-Ford Rams vs. Constitution Generals
Spring-Ford is still undefeated this season after their game against Constitution on Saturday, but Constitution came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Rams sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 56-54 win over the Generals. That's more bragging rights for the Rams, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Several Generals players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jacob Mitchell, who went 9-for-19 to rack up 19 points and seven boards. Mitchell is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Nick Young, who shot 58% from the field on his way to 19 points and five rebounds.
Spring-Ford's record is now 6-0. As for Constitution, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.
Looking ahead, Spring-Ford is taking a road trip to face off against Perkiomen Valley at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Constitution, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 54-51 victory against Graphics on the 14th.
