Recap: St. John's Islanders vs. Hanahan Hawks

The St. John's Islanders were the 55-45 winner over the Hanahan Hawks when they last played one another back in December of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. St. John's took a 53-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hanahan on Thursday. St. John's just can't catch a break and has now endured three losses in a row.

It was another big night for Jonah Auckenthaler, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 16 rebounds for Hanahan. The matchup was Auckenthaler's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Maduro, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and three blocks.

St. John's has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season. As for Hanahan, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Spartanburg has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 185 points over their last three games.
