Baseball Recap: Lewisville Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Lewisville couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Ware Shoals Hornets by a score of 7-5 on Wednesday. That's two games in a row now that the Lions have lost by exactly two runs.

This is the second loss in a row for Lewisville and nudges their season record down to 24-8. Even worse, they were so close both times: the losses came by an average of only two runs. As for Ware Shoals, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 20-9.

Lewisville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ware Shoals, they have already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Dixie on the 15th.
