Soccer Recap: Benjamin Franklin Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

On Friday, the Benjamin Franklin Falcons earned a 3-1 victory over the East St. John Wildcats. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana soccer rankings (they are ranked 24th, while the Wildcats are ranked 101st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Benjamin Franklin's win bumped their record up to 10-6-1. As for East St. John, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-13-2.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Riverdale the next time they take the pitch. Benjamin Franklin will host Riverdale at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, while East St. John will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
