Baseball Game Preview: Schoolhouse Prep Wolfpack vs. Miami Beach Hi-Tides

The Schoolhouse Prep Wolfpack will venture away from home to challenge the Miami Beach Hi-Tides at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Schoolhouse Prep is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Olympic Heights with a sharp 15-4 win on Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Wolfpack considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

Camilo Urena looked comfortable as he pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Rogelio Perez was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Aaron Aguilar was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Schoolhouse Prep was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .394. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March of 2024.

Meanwhile, Miami Beach had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the Patriots. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Hi-Tides have posted since April 17, 2024.

Ryan Macdonald tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up three earned runs off only two hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Lenonx Munoz, who scored a run and stole four bases while going 3-for-5. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Russel Royce, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4.

The win got Miami Beach back to even at 4-4. As for Schoolhouse Prep, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-4.
