Baseball Recap: The Academy Takes a Loss

University hit The Academy with a seven-run fourth inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wildcats lost 11-0 to the Bulldogs. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 12-2 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in April of 2019, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The Academy has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for University, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 17-3.

Coming up, The Academy will challenge Forge Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. The Fury's pitching crew has only allowed 1.8 runs per game this season, so the Wildcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for University, they will take on Weld Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
