Baseball Recap: Bishop Kelly Takes a Loss

Bishop Kelly blew Nampa out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Saturday Nampa got their revenge. The Knights fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 2-0. The shutout was out of character for the Knights seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

Luca Quilici spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on three hits.

This is the second loss in a row for Bishop Kelly and nudges their season record down to 14-11. Even worse, they were so close both times: the losses came by an average of only 1.5 runs. As for Nampa, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-12.

As of now, neither Bishop Kelly nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
