Softball Recap: Beech Grove Takes a Loss

Beech Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Martinsville Artesians.

Addison Corn was cooking despite her team's loss, firing off two home runs while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Jalyn Jordan, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Beech Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Martinsville, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.

Beech Grove has already played their next contest, an 18-8 loss against Triton Central on the 14th. As for Martinsville, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 14-2 defeat against Center Grove on the 13th.
