Basketball Recap: Mt. Vernon Mountaineers vs. Lebanon Yellowjackets        
        
		
             After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Fair Grove, Mt. Vernon was happy to have turned things around  on Saturday. They walked away with  a   67-60  win over the Lebanon Yellowjackets. The  victory was some much needed relief for the Mountaineers as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.
 Lebanon's  defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of  Morgan Durbin, who  went 7 for 15 en route to 18 points plus two  steals, and  Madison Myers, who  posted 11 points plus five  rebounds and four  steals. With that strong performance,  Durbin is now averaging an impressive 15.4 points per game.  Lilly Bradbury was another key player,  earning seven points in addition to six  steals and five  rebounds.
 The  win  got Mt. Vernon back to even at 1-1. As for Lebanon, they now  have a losing record at 2-3.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mt. Vernon will face off against Buffalo at 7:30  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Lebanon, they will challenge Capital City at 6:30  p.m.  on Monday.
