Northwest Cabarrus had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 21-point drubbing they dealt Carson on Monday. Everything went the Northwest Cabarrus Trojans' way against the Carson Cougars as the Northwest Cabarrus Trojans made off with a 52-31 victory. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Carson's loss came despite strong showings from Rylee Hedrick and Allie Martin. Hedrick almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine boards, while Martin dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten rebounds. Hedrick is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last nine games she's played.

Northwest Cabarrus' victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-4. As for Carson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-19.

Northwest Cabarrus didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-42 defeat against East Rowan on the 18th. Carson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
