Volleyball Game Preview: Trinity Bulldogs vs. Providence Grove Patriots + How To Watch

The Trinity Bulldogs will take on the Providence Grove Patriots at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Providence Grove took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Trinity, who comes in off a win.

On Thursday, Trinity got the win against East Davidson by a conclusive 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Trinity was especially dominant in the second set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-13, 25-22.

Trinity's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Charlee Phillips, who had 21 digs, and Emma Nance, who had 12 assists and four digs. That's the most digs Phillips has posted since back in August. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayli Cox, who had ten kills.

Trinity was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. They are 6-3 when they serve at least ten aces.

Meanwhile, Providence Grove unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-match winning streak on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to West Davidson.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-20, 25-12.

Providence Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Trinity, their win bumped their record up to 8-10.

Trinity was able to grind out a solid victory over Providence Grove in their previous meeting on September 11th, winning 3-1. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Patriots' Callie Hodges, who had 35 digs. Now that she's got a second chance to win this matchup, will the Bulldogs still be able to contain Hodges? There's only one way to find out.
