Preview: North Idaho Christian Royals vs. Christian Center
North Idaho Christian has been on the road for three straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on Christian Center at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
North Idaho Christian suffered their closest loss yet this season on Saturday. They fell just short of Flathead Valley HomeSchool by a score of 47-45.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Danica Kelly, who scored 16 points along with seven assists and six steals. Kelly is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Symone Pilgrim, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Christian Center's recent rough patch got a bit rougher back in December of 2023 after their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 58-16 loss at the hands of North Idaho Christian. Christian Center was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-6.
North Idaho Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 18-2. As for Christian Center, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Everything came up roses for North Idaho Christian against Christian Center in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 58-16 win. With North Idaho Christian ahead 35-6 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
