Triton Central posted their closest win since February 1, 2024 on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Speedway Sparkplugs 46-44. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Sparkplugs: they've now won three in a row.

Eli Sego continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, shooting 73% from the field on his way to 22 points. Another player making a difference was Max Crouse, who posted five points and four steals.

When it comes to explaining why Speedway lost, don't look at Drew Matelic. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 18 points and 11 boards. The match was Matelic's third in a row with at least 17 points. Camden Bennett was another key player, putting up seven points and five rebounds.

Triton Central's victory bumped their record up to 13-9. As for Speedway, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-19.
