After flying high against the Allendale-Fairfax Tigers last Monday, the Royal Live Oaks Academy Royal Knights came back down to earth. Royal Live Oaks Academy was dealt a 74-22 loss at the hands of Bamberg-Ehrhardt on Wednesday. Royal Live Oaks Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-20.
Bamberg-Ehrhardt had a senior duo take command as Isiah Johnson scored 18 points along with seven assists and five steals and Anthony Williams scored 19 points along with six rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Williams has scored all season. Eric Parker was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Royal Live Oaks Academy dropped their record down to 1-6-1 with that loss, which was their seventh straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 16.6 points per game. As for Bamberg-Ehrhardt, their win bumped their record up to 8-5.
Royal Live Oaks Academy will head out on the road to face off against Branchville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Bamberg-Ehrhardt, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Bridges Prep at 5:00 p.m.
