The Winfield Pirates will face off against the Glencoe Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Winfield's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last four games.

Two weeks ago, Winfield took their contest with ease, bagging a 47-7 win over Vinemont. The Pirates have beaten the Eagles the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Eagles has come to flipping the script.

Winfield can attribute much of their success to Garret Beasley, who picked up 91 receiving yards and one score. Those 91 receiving yards gave Beasley a new career-high.

Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks on offense in their last four matchups, Glencoe finally came back down to earth on Friday. They were outmatched by Piedmont and fell 46-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Yellowjackets were not able to get on the board.

The defeat snapped Glencoe's winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 7-3 record. As for Winfield, their record is now 8-2.
