Soccer Recap: Tehachapi Finishes Even with Independence

Tehachapi can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. Neither they nor the Independence Falcons could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The result (or lack thereof) was the first time the Warriors have been dealt a draw since back in December of 2024.

Tehachapi's draw makes their record 1-7-3 this season. As for Independence, they moved theirs to 3-6-1.

Tehachapi will take on California City at 1:50 p.m. on Friday. Tehachapi's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for nine straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. As for Independence, they will challenge Stockdale at 8:00 a.m. on Friday. Independence's last four games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
