            Sharpsville made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Greenville, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Blue Devils fell just short of the Trojans by a score of  7-5 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  loss the Blue Devils have suffered  against the Trojans since April 3, 2023.
  Dom Malone made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  went a perfect 2-for-2 with two  RBI and one  run.
Sharpsville's defeat was  their third straight at home, which  dropped their record down to 4-10. Those  home  losses can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for Greenville, the  victory was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-1.
 Coming up, Sharpsville will host Mohawk Area  at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their  fourth straight  win, something the Blue Devils surely won't give up without a fight. As for Greenville, they will head out to  face off against Girard  at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Yellowjackets' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5  runs per game  this season, so the Trojans' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
