Recap: Bella Vista Broncos vs. West Park Panthers
The Bella Vista Broncos were the 73-52 winner over the West Park Panthers when they last played one another back in December of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. Bella Vista fell 55-45 to West Park on Friday. While losing is never fun, Bella Vista can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 530th, while West Park is ranked 109th).
When it comes to explaining why Bella Vista lost, one person who can't be blamed is Mikey Simonyan. Despite the final result, he scored 29 points. The contest was Simonyan's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Damian Rickett was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 8 rebounds and 5 assists.
Bella Vista now has a losing record at 2-3. As for West Park, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Bella Vista's road trip will continue as they head out to face Del Oro at 3:30 p.m. on December 2nd. Averaging 76.3 so far this season, Del Oro's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Bella Vista better be ready for a challenge. As for West Park, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Monte Vista at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Monte Vista is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
