Basketball Recap: East Grand Comes Up Short

East Grand was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Shead Tigers and fell 60-20. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 76-21 back in December of 2024.

East Grand's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Shead, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

East Grand will square off against Katahdin at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. East Grand is facing Katahdin at the right time seeing as Katahdin is stuck on a four-game losing streak. Shead has already played their next game, a 53-47 victory against Jonesport-Beals on the 21st.
