Basketball Recap: Saks Extends Road Winning Streak to Five

Saks had won four straight road games and Sania Angel did her part to make it five on Tuesday. The Saks Wildcats strolled past the Weaver Bearcats with points to spare, taking the game 60-44 thanks in part to Angel, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine steals. She has been hot recently, having posted six or more steals the last three times she's played.

Saks has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.1 points per game. As for Weaver, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Saks Wildcats challenge the Wellborn Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Saks is facing Wellborn at the right time seeing as Wellborn is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Weaver, they will square off against Randolph County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
