Mead is 10-0 against Mt. Spokane since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Mead Panthers take on the Mt. Spokane Wildcats at 5:30 p.m.

Mead is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Washington's top teams: Central Valley, who was ranked fourth at the time (Mead was ranked 25th). Mead took a 72-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of Central Valley on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Mt. Spokane posted their closest victory since December 3, 2024 on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Lewis & Clark 48-45.

Mt. Spokane's victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Mead, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-6.

Mead strolled past Mt. Spokane when the teams last played back in January by a score of 64-48. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mead since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
