Football Recap: Vigor Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Vigor lost against Baker back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wolves took a 21-12 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hornets. The contest marked the Wolves' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Sammy Dunn threw for 135 yards and two touchdowns. Dylan Jackson was his top target, picking up 66 receiving yards and one score. On the ground, Demetris Johnson rushed for 44 yards.

Baker's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Joshua Jones led the charge by picking up 109 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. That's the most receiving yards Jones has posted since back in August. Baker also got a significant boost from Gavin Wood, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 82 yards.

Vigor's defeat dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Baker, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-2.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Vigor will take on Charles Henderson at 7:00 p.m. on the 7th. The Wolves will be up against the Trojans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 28.2 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Baker, they will square off against Florence at 7:00 p.m. on the 7th.
