3A Region 8 recap Oct. 9, 2012
Lauderdale County extended the longest winning streak in 3A Region 8 this week by beating Colbert County, 36-13. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Madison Academy took down Elkmont 62-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Clements's Marcus McNaughton and Demarcus Johnson have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. McNaughton has thrown for 707 yards this season, while Johnson has 10 catches for 270 yards. Demetrius Warren from West Morgan leads the league in rushing with 409 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Deshler takes on the Indians. The Tigers are in fifth place, while Colbert County is in second place.
The Mustangs led 3A Region 8 in scoring this week after putting up 62 points on the Red Devils.
