Soccer Game Preview: St. Joseph Central vs. Lincoln County

The St. Joseph Central Irish will face off against the Lincoln County Panthers at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Joseph Central is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.1 goals per game this season.

Lincoln County will take on a team with plenty of momentum: St. Joseph Central extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday. The Irish's defense stepped up to hand Chesapeake a 12-0 shutout. It was an even better day for Riley Blake as she scored seven goals for her team.

Meanwhile, Lincoln County lost 9-1 to Herbert Hoover on Thursday. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Lincoln County were already down 3-0.

Lincoln County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6-3. As for St. Joseph Central, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5.

St. Joseph Central beat Lincoln County 2-0 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Will the Irish repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
