Volleyball Recap: The Rock Comes Up Short

After flying high against Forest on Tuesday, The Rock came back down to earth. The Lions lost 3-0 to the Gainesville Hurricanes on Thursday. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hurricanes apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

The Rock was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-19, 25-22.

The Rock's defeat dropped their record down to 3-1. As for Gainesville, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Looking ahead, The Rock will square off against DME Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gainesville, they will take on Trinity Christian Academy at 12:10 p.m. on Friday.
