Flag Football Game Preview: Lathrop Spartans vs. Ripon Indians + Official Tickets

The Lathrop Spartans will welcome the Ripon Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lathrop will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Lathrop is headed into the matchup having just posted their closest victory since September 22nd on Wednesday. They slipped by Beyer 13-12. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Spartans' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 163rd, while the Patriots are ranked 446th).

Moira Ramones was nothing short of spectacular: she picked up 72 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 159 yards and one TD. Those 72 receiving yards gave her a new career-high.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Ripon, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They managed an 18-13 win over Escalon on Wednesday.

Ripon found their leader in freshman Ana Shriver, who rushed for 70 yards and a pair of scores, and also threw for 115 yards and one TD.

Lathrop's record now sits at 17-3. As for Ripon, their record is now 11-13.
