Volleyball Game Preview: Choctaw County Chargers vs. Starkville Academy Volunteers

After both having extra time off, the Choctaw County Chargers and the Starkville Academy Volunteers will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Choctaw County came up short against Nettleton and fell 3-1.

The match finished with set scores of 25-0, 25-0, 0-25, 25-0.

Meanwhile, Starkville Academy also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Hamilton by a score of 3-1. The Volunteers haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Choctaw County's loss dropped their record down to 10-7-1. As for Starkville Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-15.

Choctaw County beat Starkville Academy 2-0 in their previous matchup back in September of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Chargers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
