Volleyball Game Preview: Savannah Christian Raiders vs. St. Vincent's Saints

The Savannah Christian Raiders will face off against the St. Vincent's Saints at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

St. Vincent's will be up against a hot Savannah Christian squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Everything went the Raiders' way against Bryan County on Tuesday as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-4, 25-8, 25-16.

Savannah Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carinne Cason, who had four aces and three digs. That's the most aces Cason has posted over her last 13 matches. Heidi Henninger was another key player, getting eight digs and five aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Savannah Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least ten aces in three consecutive contests.

St. Vincent's not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since August 5th (when they won 3-0). They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Savannah Country Day.

St. Vincent's was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-19, 25-21.

Savannah Christian's win bumped their record up to 27-10. As for St. Vincent's, their victory bumped their record up to 32-10.
