Baseball Recap: West Greene Wins Going Away Against Mapletown

West Greene won the last time they faced Mapletown and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Pioneers put the hurt on the Maples with a sharp 11-2 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pioneers.

Darren Knight was a standout: he went 2-for-5 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Logan Shields, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

West Greene's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-6. As for Mapletown, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: West Greene beat the Maples by a score of 14-0 later that day.
