Softball Recap: Hunter-Kinard-Tyler Comes Up Short

Hunter-Kinard-Tyler was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Wagener-Salley War Eagles, falling 13-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trojans of the 20-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Hunter-Kinard-Tyler's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Wagener-Salley, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hunter-Kinard-Tyler will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on North at 5:00 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Wagener-Salley, they will be playing at home against Providence Athletic Club at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
