Basketball Recap: De La Salle Comes Up Short

De La Salle and Thomas Jefferson squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but De La Salle had to settle for second. They took a 73-69 hit to the loss column at the hands of Thomas Jefferson. The Cavalier were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Thomas Jefferson apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2022.

It was another big night for Rashad Stevenson, who shot 4-for-6 from deep and dropped a double-double with 31 points and 13 boards for Thomas Jefferson. Stevenson is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 55% in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Talen Paige, who went 6-for-10 en route to 17 points and five assists.

De La Salle has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 21-14 record this season. The victory (which was Thomas Jefferson's 11th in a row) raised their record to 21-8.

As of now, neither De La Salle nor Thomas Jefferson have any future games scheduled.
