University entered their tilt with Fort Morgan on Thursday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They were the clear victor by a 60-37 margin over the Fort Morgan Mustangs. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 20 points or more this season.

University was led to victory by Coehn Nitzel and John Elbe. Nitzel went 7-for-15 en route to 19 points along with eight boards and six assists, while Elbe went 12-for-18 to rack up 25 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. Nitzel is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 17 games he's played dating back to last season. Gage Schminke was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and ten rebounds.

Despite the loss, Fort Morgan still got an impressive performance from Carlo Bassalle, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 15 boards. Bassalle has become a key player for Fort Morgan: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least 15 points, but 2-12 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Royer Alvarez, who went 5-for-8 on his way to 11 points and five rebounds.

University's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-3. As for Fort Morgan, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.

University wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 70-60 win against Eaton on the 12th. As for Fort Morgan, they have also already played their next game, a 59-46 victory against Weld Central on the 12th.
