Eagle had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Their defense stepped up to hand the Middleton Vikings a 1-0 shutout on Tuesday. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Eagle were the better team in the second half.

Middleton is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Eagle will look to takes advantage of their home pitch for the first time this season as they takes on Skyridge at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Middleton, they are taking a road trip to take on Wood River on Thursday.
