Softball Game Preview: Staunton Storm vs. Riverheads Gladiators

Staunton is 0-10 against Riverheads since April of 2018 but things could change on Tuesday. The Storm will host the Gladiators at 5:30 p.m. Staunton has given up an average of 17.4 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Staunton is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Thursday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 23-2 to Waynesboro, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Meanwhile, Riverheads entered their tilt with Stonewall Jackson on Wednesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Generals with a sharp 10-2 win. That eight run margin sets a new team best for the Gladiators this season.

The victory got Riverheads back to even at 6-6. As for Staunton, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.
