Basketball Recap: Gentry's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Gentry can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They strolled past the Green Forest Tigers with points to spare, taking the game 72-57. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 73-70 back in December of 2024.

Green Forest's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jace Meador, who went 5 for 9 on his way to 11 points and eight boards. That's the most points Meador has posted since back in December of 2024. Grady Massengale was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.

The win got Gentry back to even at 8-8. As for Green Forest, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season.

Gentry has already played their next contest (against Pea Ridge), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Green Forest has also has no score uploaded for their next match, this one against Huntsville.
