Baseball Recap: Odin/Patoka/Sandoval Comes Up Short

After flying high against Grayville last Tuesday, Odin/Patoka/Sandoval came back down to earth. The Eagles lost 10-2 to the Waltonville Spartans on Thursday. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Spartans recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Odin/Patoka/Sandoval saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Heydin Purcell, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one home run and two RBI. That home run was Purcell's first of the season.

Odin/Patoka/Sandoval's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Waltonville, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Odin/Patoka/Sandoval has already played their next matchup (against Maryville Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Waltonville, they will face off against St. Anthony at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
