Severn School proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by 20) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Putnam Science Academy, sneaking past 9-8. The win was familiar territory for the Admirals, who have now won four games in a row.

The team relied heavily on Lawrence Jacobs, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Caden Blanck, who scored two runs and stole a base.

Severn School's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Putnam Science Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.

Coming up, Severn School will take on South Allegheny at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Putnam Science Academy, they are headed away from home for the first time to challenge Non Varsity Opponent at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
