Basketball Recap: East Comes Up Short

East lost against Northland back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The East Tigers lost to the Northland Vikings on the road by a 64-46 margin. The contest marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Nehemiah McMorris continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Northland, almost dropping a double-double on 18 points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Owan Mburugu, who went 7 of 13 on his way to 15 points and five boards.

East's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Northland, they moved to 7-3 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

East will head out to square off against Mifflin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Northland, they will host Beechcroft at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Northland's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Beechcroft has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
