Football Recap: Mesa Takes a Tough Playoff Loss + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Mesa can now relate to. They fell just short of the Centennial Coyotes by a score of 41-39 on Friday.

Several Jackrabbits players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Derek Carr, who threw for 339 yards and three TDs while picking up 10.6 yards per attempt. Caleb Tafua was in the mix too, providing Mesa with two scores.

Mesa's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Centennial, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Mesa does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Centennial, they will face off against ALA - Queen Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Owen Reynoso and Bobby Nesbit.
