Volleyball Recap: Leipsic Starts Season with Victory Against Otsego

Leipsic had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Otsego Knights on Saturday. The win continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won six in a row.

While Leipsic won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-9, 25-22.

Danaysia Danzy paced Leipsic's offense, picking up 19 kills. Danzy got some help from Karmyn Brough and her 38 assists. Danzy was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

Leipsic will be playing in front of their home fans against St. John's at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Otsego, they will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge Liberty Center at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
