Baseball Game Preview: Johnson Creek Bluejays vs. Marshall Cardinals

The Johnson Creek Bluejays will challenge the Marshall Cardinals at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Johnson Creek's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Marshall's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Johnson Creek had been on a five-game streak of scoring at least ten runs, but Deerfield put an end to it on Thursday. The Bluejays took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Demons. The contest marked the Bluejays' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Marshall). Everything went their way against Luther Prep on Tuesday as they made off with a 10-3 victory. The Cardinals not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 10, 2024 (when they won 12-4).

Marshall's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Johnson Creek, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-4.
