Calexico is 10-0 against Holtville since December of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Calexico Bulldogs are taking a road trip to take on the Holtville Vikings at 6:00 p.m.

Calexico is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Santana just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Sultans by a score of 3-2. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Bulldogs came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 84th, while the Sultans are ranked 565th).

Meanwhile, Holtville has been on a difficult stretch since their win on the ninth. They and Southwest EC finished up their matchup with a 1-1 draw on Tuesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Vikings as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Calexico's loss dropped their record down to 13-4-4. Holtville's draw gives them a new season record of 6-9-2.

Calexico took their victory against Holtville in their previous matchup on January 14th by a conclusive 4-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Calexico since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
