Baseball Preview: New Paltz Huguenots vs. Our Lady of Lourdes Warriors        
        
		
            
 After three games on the road, New Paltz is heading back home. They will take on the Our Lady of Lourdes Warriors at 4:15  p.m.  on Thursday. New Paltz is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 6.4  runs per game  this season.
 On Wednesday, New Paltz narrowly escaped with a  win as the  squad sidled past Beacon  8-7.
  Jack Maiale made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he  pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   four  hits. Maiale was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-3 with a  stolen base and  an  RBI.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Justin Coiteux, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 3-for-4.  Jared Johnson was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-2.
 Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought  matchup, but Our Lady of Lourdes had to settle for  a  7-6 defeat against Wallkill on Tuesday.
 New Paltz now  has a winning record of 3-2. As for Our Lady of Lourdes, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
 New Paltz beat Our Lady of Lourdes 11-6  when the teams last played  back in April of 2023. Will New Paltz repeat their success,  or does  Our Lady of Lourdes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
