Flag Football Recap: Stone Mountain Comes Up Short

Stone Mountain had lost eight straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Monday they dropped down to 0-6 to make it nine. They were outmatched by the Redan Raiders and fell 47-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pirates of the 34-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

As for Redan, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-1. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Redan got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Londyn Felder out in front who rushed for 95 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 42 yards and a pair of TDs. Felder didn't just play on offense: she also made one tackle and defended three passes in addition to snagging two interceptions. Another receiver making a difference was Jamiah Dale, who gained 97 total yards and two touchdowns.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Stone Mountain will face off against Lakeside at 8:00 p.m. on the 11th. As for Redan, they will take on McEachern at 5:00 p.m. on the 12th.
