Basketball Recap: Fennville Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Fennville lost against Watervliet back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Fennville Blackhawks fell 39-29 to the Watervliet Panthers.

Watervliet's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Moeko Crago led the charge by putting up 15 points and six steals. Crago continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Courtney Van Lente, who posted seven points along with nine rebounds and seven steals.

Fennville's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-4. As for Watervliet, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-6.

Fennville will challenge Lawrence at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Lawrence's defense has only allowed 25.4 points per game this season, so Fennville's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Watervliet, they will square off against Constantine at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Constantine will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Watervliet surely won't give up without a fight.
