Football Recap: Timpview Piles Up the Points Against Spanish Fork

The Timpview Thunderbirds were fully in charge on Wednesday, breezing past the Spanish Fork Dons 34-7. The Thunderbirds might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by 24 points or more this season.

Timpview's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Taani Tuha, who rushed for 140 yards and three scores on only 14 carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Tuha a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Dennis Tuaone, who picked up 247 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Timpview proved: they limited Spanish Fork to a paltry 2.4 yards per carry. The team can thank Taimani Tela for the heroic effort on defense: he. Timpview didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 8.3.
