Northwestern entered their tilt with Dr. Krop on Tuesday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Lightning.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Northwestern who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 15-25, 25-23.

Northwestern was led to victory by Rakayla Peak and Jazmin White. Peak had ten digs, while White had 19 digs and seven aces. Those seven aces gave White a new career-high.

They weren't the only good servers: Northwestern was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. They served one more ace than Dr. Krop's also-impressive total of ten.

When it comes to explaining why Dr. Krop lost, don't look at Mia Morra. Despite the final result, she had eight digs and eight aces.

Northwestern's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Dr. Krop, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-7.
