Baseball Game Preview: Conemaugh Valley Blue Jays vs. Conemaugh Township Indians

For the second straight game, Conemaugh Valley will face off against Conemaugh Township. The Blue Jays will venture away from home to square off against the Indians at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Conemaugh Valley's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so Conemaugh Township's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Tuesday, Conemaugh Valley needed a bit of extra time to put away Conemaugh Township. They won by a run and slipped past the Indians 4-3. While the Blue Jays didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

For Conemaugh Township's part, Colin Dinyar was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Kaden Valentine also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Conemaugh Township fell to 3-1. As for Conemaugh Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1-1.
