Baseball Game Preview: Irmo Yellow Jackets vs. River Bluff Gators

For the second straight game, Irmo will face off against River Bluff. Irmo will head out on the road to take on River Bluff at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Irmo 2.9, River Bluff 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Irmo will head out to face River Bluff after giving up their first home loss of the season on Tuesday. Irmo fell just short of River Bluff by a score of 4-2.

Irmo saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Parsons, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Caden Hall also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

The win (which was River Bluff's eighth in a row) raised their record to 9-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Irmo, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.
